Balance
Balance-enhancement movements that build stability and confidence on their feet.
Rehabilitation
Targeted rehabilitation exercises, tailored to your dog — improving movement, comfort and confidence, and enhancing their quality of life.
What it is
Canine mobility therapy is a form of rehabilitation that improves the movement and function of your dog's muscles and joints, using exercises targeted to their individual needs.
It involves a range of gentle techniques that help dogs recover from injury, surgery, or conditions that affect their ability to walk, run and enjoy their daily activities. Every plan is built around your dog — how they move, where they struggle, and what they need to feel more comfortable.
The goal
To enhance your dog's quality of life.
What it improves
Balance-enhancement movements that build stability and confidence on their feet.
Targeted strengthening to rebuild and support weakened or under-used muscles.
Sharper body awareness, so your dog places and controls each limb more accurately.
Increased joint range of motion, for freer and easier everyday movement.
Reduces overall pain and inflammation for greater day-to-day comfort.
Who it helps
Careful, staged rehabilitation to help your dog rebuild strength and confidence as they recover.
Restoring movement and function following muscular, ligament or soft-tissue injury.
Helping dogs living with conditions such as osteoarthritis stay mobile and comfortable.
Gentle work to keep older dogs steady, supple and enjoying their daily activities.
Techniques & equipment
Every plan is different. Depending on what your dog needs, sessions may use:
Gentle assistance for dogs that need help to stand or balance during exercises.
Wobble work that builds core stability, coordination and awareness.
Low poles that encourage controlled, deliberate steps and better limb awareness.
Poles laid loosely on the floor with treats scattered over them, so your dog steps over and places each paw with care — a gentle way to check and build proprioception.
How sessions work
Like all our therapies, mobility work follows the Positive PACT ethos — never forced. We work in the calm of your dog's own home, always at a pace they're comfortable with, and can work alongside your vet if required. Your dog is a willing participant, not a patient being handled.
Where this is offered. Rehabilitation exercises are only useful if they carry on between visits, so we build them around your actual rooms, stairs and floors. I cover Estepona through La Duquesa to Sotogrande, and travel within 15 km of La Duquesa is included.

Five things: balance, through movements that build stability and confidence; strength, rebuilding weakened or under-used muscles; proprioception, so your dog places each limb more accurately; joint range of motion; and overall pain and inflammation.
Dogs recovering from surgery, through careful staged rehabilitation; dogs recovering from muscular, ligament or soft-tissue injury; dogs living with ongoing conditions such as osteoarthritis; and older dogs slowing down, where the aim is keeping them steady, supple and enjoying their days.
