Terms of Service
What you can expect from us, what we need from you, and — just as importantly — the things this therapy cannot do.
Last updated 15 August 2026.
Who you are dealing with
These terms cover treatment provided by Positive Animal Wellbeing, based in La Duquesa, Málaga, Spain. Booking a consultation means accepting them.
What this therapy is, and what it is not
This is the most important section on the page, so it comes first.
Christine is a Registered Galen Myotherapist and a trained Class IV Laser Therapist. She is not a veterinary surgeon, and nothing offered here is veterinary care. Myotherapy and laser therapy support and complement veterinary treatment. They do not replace it, and no diagnosis is offered.
If your dog is unwell, in acute pain, or something has changed suddenly, your vet comes first. We can work alongside your vet if required, and are glad to.
The guides in the Learn section are general education written for worried owners. They are not a diagnosis of your dog.
Booking and the first visit
Treatment takes place in your own home, within 15 km of La Duquesa. Beyond that radius, travel is charged at €1 per kilometre.
The first visit is a full consultation: we talk through what is troubling your dog, take photographs and video for comparison later, work through the comfort scale and the paperwork, and put together a treatment plan. A 20-minute treatment session is included on the day.
What it costs
- First visit, including consultation and a 20-minute session: €70
- Each treatment after: €50–70, depending on how long your dog needs and how big they are
- All prices include IVA
- Travel within 15 km is included; €1 per kilometre beyond
- Block bookings are discounted
The cost of a session is always discussed and agreed with you before anything is booked in. Payment is due at the time of treatment.
Changing or cancelling an appointment
Life with animals is unpredictable, and so is life generally. Please give as much notice as you can if you need to move or cancel an appointment, so the slot can be offered to someone else. If Christine has to cancel, you will be offered the earliest alternative that suits you.
What we need from you
So that treatment is safe and useful, please:
- tell us about any diagnosis, medication, surgery or injury your dog has had, including anything recent
- mention any history of aggression, fear or resource guarding, so the session can be set up to keep everyone comfortable
- let us know if your dog is unwell on the day, so we can rearrange rather than treat
- be present during the session, in a space where your dog feels safe
Incomplete information is the one thing that genuinely makes this work harder, and occasionally unsafe.
Choice-led treatment
Treatment is choice-led and follows the Positive PACT approach. Your dog is never restrained, forced or held in position. They are free to move away, change position, or simply lie down and enjoy the massage. If your dog declines to take part on a given day, that decision is respected, and the session ends there.
Results
Many dogs become noticeably more comfortable and more mobile, and the reviews on the home page are genuine accounts from real clients. But every animal is different, and no outcome can be promised. Chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis and dysplasia are managed rather than cured. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.
Insurance and liability
Positive Animal Wellbeing is fully insured for the therapies described on this website. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the treatment concerned, except where the law does not allow such a limit — nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
You remain responsible for your dog throughout the visit, as their owner and handler.
Photographs and video
Photographs and short videos are taken during sessions so that posture and movement can be compared over time. These are clinical records. Nothing is used on this website or on social media unless you are asked and agree, separately, and you are free to say no. See the Privacy Policy for how these are stored.

Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law, and the courts of Málaga have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
